The human population continues to grow, causing the need for a greater amount of resources to be had. More cows are needed to fill the plates on dinner tables across the states, yet the landmass remains the same. Farmers seek out larger cows. Hormones are fed or injected into the animals causing them to eat more. This produces larger cows for the farmers. These cows will feed more people once slaughtered.

The large cows are forced to live in small pens. Antibiotics are administered to keep the animals healthy as more animals are forced to live in the extremely close quarters. These additives do not just disappear. They are found within the majority of meat and milk found on in the nation’s grocery stores.

Great Tasting Dinners Begin with Great Meats

The way to create a full-flavor meal is to use only the freshest of ingredients. Meats sold in most grocery stores contain artificial ingredients, added water and tenderizers. More importantly, these meats contain harmful antibiotics and growth hormones that are not meant for human consumption. While there are a number of different ones to look out for, there are six commonly found in products sold within the United States. The first three, Oestradiol, Progesterone and Testosterone are classified as natural hormones. The other three, Zeranol, Trenbolone and Melengesterol are man-made. All six are potentially dangerous to humans.
