Lowriders have become a common sight on roadways today. Cars, trucks, and many other styles of vehicles, have been modified into jacked up trucks and lowriders. Hugging the ground as they cruise around, these amazing pimped out cars, that are so popular in the car and truck world, can rise up at the push of a button to avoid road bumps, curbs, railroad tracks, and many other roadway hazards that they might encounter.
What is a Lowrider?
A lowrider is an automobile that has been modified by cutting some of the coils from the springs, or by melting the coils with a blow torch, until it is just a mere few inches off the ground. Hydraulic or air bag suspension systems are installed on lowriders so the vehicle can be lowered very low to the ground, and then raised up to normal height when necessary, to avoid potentially damaging road obstacles like bumps or curbs.
